YesEarth MCOP 2025

YesEarth Model COP, to be held at Assam Don Bosco University (ADBU), has been rescheduled to January 18-19, 2025. This decision was made after receiving feedback from a large number of students who expressed difficulty in participating due to academic commitments and examinations. Participants who have already registered will be reached out by the YesEarth Team. We look forward to a larger and more vibrant YesEarth Model COP 2025.

YesEarth MCOP 2025 – First-Ever in India
The YesEarth Model Conference of Parties (MCOP) is an innovative educational event designed to immerse university students in the complexities of global climate negotiations. This unique simulation of UN COP meetings offers participants hands-on experience in international climate diplomacy, leadership, and negotiation. The event fosters a deeper understanding of critical environmental challenges and empowers students to become future climate leaders. Over two days, attendees will engage in negotiations, cultural events, and exhibitions, all centered around sustainable practices and climate advocacy.

Registration Process 


Step 1: Payment of Registration Fee

(SCHOOL OF LIVELIHOOD AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT WILL BE PART SPONSORING THE EVENT TO SUPPORT DESERVING STUDENTS) REGISTER NOW TILL SEATS LAST
Early Bird Registration: Rs. 2000.00 (Rupees Two Thousand Only) for registrations before November 30, 2024
Late Registration: Rs. 2500.00 (Rupees Two Thousand Five Hundred Only) for registrations After December 1, 2024 but before January 10, 2025
Seats are limited, and early registration is highly encouraged to secure your spot. Registration Close on Jaunuary 11, 2024
Fee includes: Lunch, tea, coffee, snacks for 2 days and a conference kit comprising a note pad, pen, folder, T-shirt, and badge.
 
Step 2: Fee Collection
Payment is required to complete the registration process.

Terms and Conditions 
Eligibility for Participation
Participation is open to students and young professionals from educational institutions or environmental organizations.
All participants should adhere to the age limit specified in the registration guidelines i.e (18-25 years)
Cancellation Policy
Registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Welcome to YesEarth MCOP 2024! We are thrilled to have participants from all across  the country joining us. To create a positive and productive environment for debate and collaboration, we have established the following norms.
Norms
Committee Procedures
The MCOP will follow a structured format like UN COP procedures.
Delegates must be familiar with the Rules of Procedure (ROP) provided in advance and follow them strictly during sessions.
Speaking time limits, points of order, points of personal privilege, and other procedural rules will be enforced by the committee Director general.
Delegates are expected to maintain decorum and professionalism throughout the event.
Offensive or inappropriate language, discriminatory behaviour, or harassment of any kind will not be tolerated.
Any violation of the code of conduct may lead to disqualification from the event.
Delegates must be respectful to their peers and chairs when speaking.
Delegates must respect the authority of the chair in the committee.
Delegates may not represent any other work as their own.
Intellectual Property
Participants must acknowledge that the event materials and content shared during the YesEarth MCOP, including discussions, are intellectual property owned by the organizers. Attendees are prohibited from recording or distributing event content without permission.
Photography and Media Release
By registering for the event, participants consent to the use of photographs or video footage taken during the event for promotional or educational purposes.
Health and Safety
Participants are responsible for their own health and safety during the event. The organizers will provide basic first-aid services but will not be liable for any personal injuries, health issues, or accidents.

Additional Information
Accommodation: Outstation Participants are advised to make their own arrangements for accommodation.
Catering: Complimentary lunch, tea, coffee, and snacks will be available throughout both days of the event.
Travel: Participants are responsible for arranging their own transportation to and from the venue.
Delegates are required to follow a formal dress code throughout the event
For Male Delegates: 1st day – Formal suits (with or without a tie), shirts, pants, and formal shoes are required. Blazers or jackets are recommended.
2nd Day- Traditional Attire
For Female Delegates: 1st day – Formal suits, formal tops with trousers or skirts, and formal dresses are appropriate. Formal shoes are required. Blazers or jackets are recommended.
2nd Day- Traditional Attire
Casual attire, sportswear, flip-flops, and other informal clothing are strictly prohibited during the event sessions.
